Vers Brown's Myspace

Tristan "Versatol" Brown was born in Pomona, California.  Though he was primarily raised in the Inland Empire, Vers has lived a total of 10 years in Los Angeles.  A hip hop enthusiast since he was a child, the clever emcee began actively honing his talents as a hip hop artist since middle school.  What began as carefree lunch hour cyphers with friends turned into concerted efforts to make hip hop music with childhood friends Chris Robbin and Young Sixx.

With his versatile flow, clever wit, ferocious punchlines, and uncanny ability to write great hooks, Vers Brown stood apart from most West Coast artists.  Additionally, his academic achievements spoke volumes.  Unwilling to fall victim to gang-life or legal trouble as many of his peers had, Vers attended UCLA after completing high school.  He would subsequently join the Inland Empire based group Recycled Lifeforms before becoming the first college graduate in his family's history in 2004.

In 2005, Vers Brown entered the UCLA School of Law in pursuit of a law degree to compliment his budding music career.  It was in this very setting that he begin recording various mixtapes as a solo artist, eventually aligning with fellow law student Almuhtada Smith of Imperious Entertainment to create the acclaimed mixtape "Fresh Air: Vol. 1."  Amidst a declining art form flooded with negative criticism and monotony, Vers Brown and Imperious Entertainment currently seek to transcend boundaries in entertainment, while bringing a breath of fresh air to the hip hop scene.
