Courageous Coming-Of-Age Film Tackling the Intersection of Homelessness, Gang Life, and Faith Opens 4/17 in Atlanta and 4/24 in Detroit  Los Angeles, CA (April 14, 2008) JADA, a powerful and faith-affirming drama about hope in the midst of grief and gang life, is set to premier in both Atlanta, GA and Detroit, MI in the coming weeks. Atlanta’s run will begin at 8:00PM on April 17, 2008 at the Spaghetti Junction Urban Film Festival, and then will be showing in 4 theatres throughout the city until April 24th. Detroit will be host to the Grand Red Carpet Premiere on Thursday April 24, 2008 at the Music Hall Theater in downtown Detroit. Featuring the cast and other invited celebrities, the evening will culminate in a reception after the film at a prominent Detroit hotspot. Directed by Clifton Powell, the movie stars Siena Goines (“The 40-Year Old Virgin”, “Jericho”) as Jada, who is a grief stricken widow and mother of 2 teenagers whose upper middle-class lifestyle comes crashing down after her husband dies in a suspicious car accident. With help coming in the form of Rev. Terrance Mayweather (Clifton Powell – acting credits include: “First Sunday”, “Woman Thou Art Loosed”, “The Gospel”) and ex-convict turned mentor Simon (Rockmond Dunbar – “Prison Break”, “Heartland”, “Soulfood”), a tale unfolds of how even in the darkest times faith in God carries you through. After each showing, patrons will also be able to purchase the hot new 12-song soundtrack featuring the single “Jada’s Song” by urban contemporary gospel artist Holy Boy. The video from “Jada’s Song” is currently in rotation on the Word Network and The Gospel Music Channel, and will also be airing soon on BET. The soundtrack also features Andre Gouché & The Prayze Connection, Dave Hollister, and up-and-coming artist B.R.I.G.G. Produced by Robert A.
