![]() Anyone today in L.A. trying to place an order at a fast food joint knows how difficult it can be due to the increasing language and cultural divides. I use this as an example only to show that an influx of any new population will create new problems for the existing population and the immigrants as well. The Nubians, because they worshiped the same "Gods" (The Egyptians called them neters/neteru) conquered the country and all of the discord and reestablished, decisively, governance, as well as, theological and cultural order. These Black Kings reinstated massive building programs and restored great prosperity to Egypt. Some have tried to separate the Nubians and Egyptians racially something akin to separating Greeks and Romans racially both of which hated Western Europeans. Lead by the likes of National Geographic and others, many people continue this insanity to date! My point is, even in view of the insanity, during the 8th century B.C.E. a great Black Nation conquered, revitalized and governed Ancient Kemet/Tamerri (Egypt) at a time when there wasn't a single Roman Emperor, the Greeks didn't know they were Greek (classical Greece starts around 600 B.C.E.) and all Western Europeans were, according to the Greeks and Romans, were barbarians. So, why not a Black President? Maybe it's time for Blacks to lead again! - Mathu Ater - I will be lecturing at Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday morning March 7th at the ASCAC (Association for the study of Classical African Civilizations) conference. that's so true, and the thing about obama is that he has to work twice as hard to get the respect for the hard work that he does in order to try to help our country. I think that he will work twice as hard beause he knows that since he could be the first black president that he HAS to do great in order to pave the way for change in other presidents to come. In the end once he hopefully becomes president he knows he has to work twice as hard as any other president has before him.
yeah, and the even more compelling characteristic about Obama is his proven ability to unite the nation. Once you read his biography you understand his foundation in grassroots movement and I second that his work ethic will more than compensate for any perceived or prescribed shortcomings that others have tried to put on him. It's not question-The TIME HAS COME, my faith only wavers in the American unjust justice system which has history of not giving to people what they have duly earned....Obama in '08!

I agree that Obama is the right president we need to progress into the future, but it has far more to do with his propositions of solidarity, bipartisanship, and diplomacy than him being a black man.
In fact, I don't even see how the Nubians have anything to do with Barack. There have been black rulers in the past who were ruthless tyrants, what if people used that precedent to preclude Barack? Your logic opens up that possibility. Copyright 2007. All Rights Reserved. |
